August 2021

Tuesday August 10 Block Club Meeting – We will plan events for September and October, and catch up on each other.

Saturday August 21 Garden Party – a scaled down version of our annual block party, due to Covid. 

September 2021

Saturday September 18 Yard Sale – Time to clean out your storage, and come to see what you want to add!

October 2021

Sunday October 31 Trick or Treating – the 4500 block of Forrestville hosts a tremendous Trick or Treat event. That also extends west to the 400 block of E. 46th. 

April 2022

We work with the city’s Clean and Green program to help beautify our neighborhood

We also begin in earnest the re-planting of our garden

May 2022

Yard Sale – Lots of space and lots of items

June 2022

Sunday, June 19th Juneteenth Celebration – Our 2nd annual Juneteenth Celebration

July 2022

Fish Fry – we maximize our space for food , fun and fellowship.

August 2022

Saturday, August 6 (tentative) Block Party – we clear the 400 block of West 46th to host our annual block party.

    1. Girls Scouts will join to help with Weed & Feed, clean up, prepare

    1. Monthly Meeting
      • See you in the garden on Monday, May 13 at 6pm. We will go over upcoming events, as well as the various needs for the garden.
      • We will also attempt to set up Zoom for those who can’t physically be there. (We are trying our best with a hybrid meeting!)

June

        1. Health Van for ADULTS – Saturday June 8, 2024
          • It is a free medical van from St. Bernard Hospital.
          • Adults can get : Blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings, with immediate results. and recommendations.
          • Please let all your adult friends know.
          • The van will return FRIDAY, August 15, 10am- 2pm, for BOTH adults and children AT THAT TIME. (providing physicals and immunizations)
        2. Brookfield Zoo
